Green County Circuit Court Judge, Branch 1.
Yes.
I know the law. I have a great deal of experience, in a wide variety of courts. I respect the law, and I love Green County.
It would be my great honor and privilege to serve as Green County’s Circuit Court Judge (Branch 1).
I have practiced in State and Federal Courts around the country, including Wisconsin and New York, as well as New Jersey, California, Florida, Michigan and Georgia (pro hac vice, which is the law’s way of allowing an attorney to practice in different jurisdictions for the purpose of one case).
In 1999, I started working for the American Arbitration Association’s International Center for Dispute Resolution. A year later, I moved to a Wall Street litigation firm, and in 2004 my business partner and I started Phillipson & Uretsky, LLP. In 2007, I opened an office in New Glarus. My firm has offices in New York, New Jersey and New Glarus.
I’ve rounded out my local practice by preparing Wills, deed transfers, handling landlord-tenant disputes, representing clients at local municipal board meetings, and in employment discrimination cases and other employment matters before the State of Wisconsin Equal Rights Division. I previously volunteered with the Green County Family Law Clinic. In 2017, I earned Certificates of Completion from the UW’s Continuing Studies Department in both Mediation Training and Mediation and Domestic Abuse.
I’ve done countless arbitrations and mediations. I have met with and counseled clients in various cities, and in various parts of the country, regarding issues such as fraud, securities fraud, civil theft, breach of contract, negligence, employment matters, unfair competition and regulatory compliance.
Sometimes the regulatory authorities (whether the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission, a state regulatory agency, or a self-regulatory agency like the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) investigate matters – and I represent clients in those actions, as well.

Faun Marie Phillipson, from New Glarus, is running for Green County Circuit Court Judge, Branch 1. She would like to tell you a little bit about herself, her professional experience, and why she thinks she should be the next Circuit Court Judge. Read more
For Faun Marie Phillipson, the lively streets of New York City could not compare to the bright stars and fresh air of Green County.
"Every time I came back here, it would get harder and harder to leave. I would stand outside of my parents’ house the last night I was here and I just got to a point where I was like, ‘If I feel like this is where home is and this is where my heart is, then why am I leaving?’," said Phillipson, who is running for Green County Circuit Court Judge.
For five generations, her family has lived, worked and served in the county. Read more
According to Phillipson, "One of the basic principles of our justice system is the opportunity to be heard. When you walk out of that courtroom, regardless of outcome, you should be able to do so with your head held high, knowing you were heard. I am knowledgeable, I am experienced, and I will be fair and impartial." Read more on page 5
